About Us

Limbrr; Fashionable Accessories for Warmth is a Chicago-based manufacturer of arm- and leg-warmers for Women and Teens.  Created by textile and wallcovering artist Gina Panijan, Limbrr leads the way in winter accessory design with reversible dual-ply accessories.  Since 2004 she has been creating one of a kind arm and leg warmers.  But in 2008, she partnered up with a sewing house on Chicago's near West Side to make tailored & durable multiples of Thumbsies and Legwarmers in very foxy yet practical color combinations, appropriate for a wide audience.

In her 14 years' experience overseeing hand production of high-end textile wallcoverings, Gina Panijan has sharpened her design acumen, color aesthetic and fabrication insights, merging passion with mass production to create distinctive fashion warmwear.

Limbrr started out by reclaiming thrifted textiles for transformation into the focal layer for arm- and leg-warmers.  “There are so many 1980’s sweaters that die at thrift stores because of their out-dated shape, but the weave and color are worth salvaging,” explains Panijan.

Salvaging and up-cycling such unique materials yielded Limbrr’s Green Collection, coordinating knit outers with comfortable liner fabrics.  These one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art have been sold through Chicago area boutiques, Yoga studios, small trunk sales, and holiday craft fairs.

Limbrr has demonstrated commitment to brand establishment through continued production, and now moves into its most successful season in Winter 2010 with new selections fabricated from fine textiles in sophisticated colors that are fully reversible—foxy options both inside and out.  On the horizon are remarkable tie-dyed designs!

Limbrr's unique leg-warmer design is easily worn with either boots or shoes.  Thumbsies arm-warmers innovate a thumb hole for a partial glove look.  Both add a distinctive accent to the wearer's winter wardrobe which doubles as effective insulation in chilly Midwest weather.

In 2010, Limbrr not only created a professional Label for every pair, copywritten 2009 because of the revised design effective then.  Each pair of arm and legwarmers sports a label now, so you'll know a true pair of Limbrr's when you see them!

With help from friend Marie Walz, an online shop extending sales further than her car can drive is up and running since November 2010!
